You can replace the sample media clip in a selected template by:
•importing your own media clip.
•downloading media from Shutterstock®.
•inserting your company's logo.
•replacing sample product images with your own product image.
For ad templates with multiple scenes, the middle scenes can also have the video from the previous scene continue into the next scene. To do this, select a middle scene, click the button, and then select the Continue from Last Clip option.
You can replace the sample media in an ad template with your own video files and photos. Depending on the ad template you select, you can replace the video and the background image.
To import your own media clips, do this:
Note: if the media clip you import is shorter than the scene duration, its playback will be repeated. If required, you can fix this later by shortening the scene in Advanced Editing. |
1.In the Ad Designer, select the element in the ad template you want to replace, i.e. video, background image.
2.Click the button.
3.Select the Import a Media File option.
4.Browse to and then select the video file or photo on your computer's hard drive that you want to use.
5.Click Open to import and replace the sample clip.
Once imported you can use the trim feature to trim videos, or crop to crop out areas in a video or photo.
You can download videos and photos from Shutterstock® for use in your promotional video. To download media clips from Shutterstock®, do this:
1.In the Ad Designer, select the element in the ad template you want to replace, i.e. video, background image.
2.Click the button.
3.Select the Download Media from Shutterstock option.
4.In the Download Media from Shutterstock® window, click on the media tab that corresponds with the type of files are you looking for, i.e. Video or Photo.
5.Type in keywords in the search box and then click to search for media on Shutterstock®.
6.You can preview videos and photos in a web browser by clicking on the thumbnails in the search results.
Note: the previews for videos and photos do contain watermarks, but the watermarks will not be on the media files once they are downloaded to your media library. |
7.When you find a media file that you want to import, select it and then click the Download button to download and import it into the ad template.

In some ad templates you can insert your company's logo. To insert your company logo, do this:
1.In the Ad Designer, select the default logo image you want to replace.
2.Click the button.
3.Browse to and then select the image on your computer's hard drive that you want to use.

Note: once imported, you can resize the logo as required or click and move it to another location in the ad template. |
In the ad templates designed for Facebook and Instagram Stories, you can replace the product images with your own images. To replace the product images, do this:
1.In the Ad Designer's ad template for stories, select the product image you want to replace.
2.Click the button.
3.Select the Import a Media File option.
4.Browse to and then select the image on your computer's hard drive that you want to use.
5.Click Open to import the image.
6.If the Ad Designer detects that your imported image has a primary object in it, you will be asked if you want to remove the image's background. Click Yes to have the Ad Designer remove the background and then import the modified image.
Note: if you are not satisfied with the results, click Yes when prompted to refine the image in the Brush Mask Designer. |
