To create a new hand drawn paint animation, do this:
1.Click on and then , or click the button, and then select Paint Designer.
2.Select the type of brush in the Tools area that you want to use. Each tool creates a different looking line.
3.Use the Width slider to set the width of the drawn line.
4.In the Color area, hover your mouse over the color band and then use the eye dropper to set the color of the drawn line.
•Or click the colored box beside the color band to select it from the color palette.
In the color palette, you can select one of the basic colors, or click Define Custom Color to use the color picker to choose a color, and the leveler on the right to adjust the shade. You can also type in the desired HSL or RGB values.
5.Select the Reference frame option if you would like to use a frame of video or image as a reference when drawing. Select the from timeline option to use the media clip at the current timeline position, or from clip to load a specific clip you want to use as a reference. Once loaded, use the player controls to find the specific reference frame you want to use. If required, use the Background transparency slider to adjust the opacity of the reference frame.
6.When you are ready, start drawing on the canvas. CyberLink PowerDirector captures your brush strokes to create an animation.
Note: CyberLink PowerDirector only records the brush strokes. Any pauses while drawing are ignored. |
7.When you are done, configure the output settings and use the player controls to preview the paint animation.
8.Once you are satisfied, click on the OK button to save it to the PiP Objects library. When prompted to save, enter a custom name for the new paint animation, use the slider to select the frame you want to use as its thumbnail in the library, and then click OK.
Once you are done creating your paint animation, use the below output settings to customize its playback duration, timeline position, and more:
•Output duration: in the Playback field you can set how long it takes for the item to be drawn. Decreasing or increasing the Playback duration will speed up or slow down the animation respectively. In the Freeze field enter in the duration you want the finished animation displayed.
•Insert at current timeline position: select this option if you want to insert the saved paint animation at the current position on the timeline when you close the Paint Designer.
