Editing Audio in CyberLink AudioDirector

You can edit the audio in your CyberLink PowerDirector project by sending an individual clip to AudioDirector*, or you can export the entire project AudioDirector's Mix Room*.

Note: * optional feature in CyberLink PowerDirector. Check the version table on our web site for detailed versioning information.

Send a Single Clip to AudioDirector

To edit a single audio or video clip (with audio) in CyberLink AudioDirector, do this:

1.Select an audio or a video clip (with audio) on the timeline, click the Tools button above the timeline, and then select AudioDirector*. The CyberLink AudioDirector program opens.

2.Perform the edits on the audio clip as necessary. Please consult the help file within the program directly for detailed information on editing audio.

3.Once you finish editing the audio file in CyberLink AudioDirector, exit the program, and then click Yes to save your changes and import your edited audio clip back into the timeline.

Exporting Entire Projects to AudioDirector

You can export an entire CyberLink PowerDirector project to AudioDirector's Mix Room, where you can edit and mix the audio in the project with greater control.

To export a project to CyberLink AudioDirector, do this:

1.In your CyberLink PowerDirector project, go to the File menu and then select: Export > Export Project to AudioDirector.

2.Select one of the following Export preference options:

Render Audio (Effects Applied) and Transfer Volume Keyframes: select this option if you want to render all the audio in the project, applying any audio effects you added during the editing process. PowerDirector will also transfer any added volume keyframes on the audio, but will not apply the volume changes to the new rendered audio files.

Render Audio (Effects and Volume Keyframes Applied): select this option if you want to render all the audio in the project, applying any audio effects and volume keyframes you added during the editing process.

Remove Applied Audio Effects and Volume Keyframes: select this option if you want to export all the audio in the project without applying or transferring any added audio effects or volume keyframes.

3.Click Export. The CyberLink AudioDirector program opens and imports your project into the Mix Room.

4.Perform the edits on the audio clip as necessary. Please consult the AudioDirector help file within the program directly for detailed information on editing audio in the Mix Room.

5.Once you finish editing the audio in CyberLink AudioDirector, exit the program, and then click Yes to save your changes and import your edited audio back into the timeline.
