Scenes in an ad template usually contain title text that was added by default. You can edit the existing text in a scene, as well as add additional text to a scene.

Editing Scene Text

To edit text in a scene in the Ad Designer, do this:

1.Select the scene in the ad template that contains the text you want to edit.

2.Find the text you want to edit, and then do any of the following:

double click on the text to select it and then use your keyboard to replace the sample text with new text.

double click on the text to select it and then hover your mouse over it to use the available options to change the text font face, color, size, weight, etc.

click on the text and then drag it to another position in the video frame.

click on circle that surrounds the title text, and then drag your mouse left or right to rotate the text.

3.Click OK to set the changes.

Adding Scene Text

To add text to a scene the Ad Designer, do this:

1.Select the scene in the ad template that you want to add text to.

2.Click the button to add a text box.

3.Find the text added text box and then do any of the following:

double click on the text to select it and then use your keyboard to replace the sample text with new text.

double click on the text to select it and then hover your mouse over it to use the available options to change the text font face, color, size, weight, etc.

click on the text and then drag it to another position in the video frame.

click on circle that surrounds the title text, and then drag your mouse left or right to rotate the text.

4.Click OK to set the changes.

Editing Motion Graphics Titles

Some Ad Designer templates use motion graphics titles, so the editing of scene text is different. To edit motion graphics titles in a scene in the Ad Designer, do this:

1.Select the scene in the ad template that contains the motion graphics title you want to edit.

2.Click on the motion graphics title to open the Motion Graphics Settings window.

3.Select the title tracks you want to edit.

4.Modify the text as required.

5.Use the available options to change the text font face, style, and weight.

Note: to change the text size, just resize the text box.

6.Click the colored square to change the text color by entering the HSL or RGB values. You can also use the color picker to select a color in the preview window.

7.Click X to close the window and set the changes.

Note: to change a motion graphics title's position in the video frame, click on it and then drag it to another location.

Adding Motion Graphics Scene Text

Some Ad Designer templates use motion graphic titles. To add motion graphics titles to a scene, do this:

1.Select the scene in the ad template where you want to add the motion graphics title.

2.Click the button and then click on the location in the preview window where you want the motion graphics title. The Motion Graphics Settings window will open.

3.Select the title track you want to edit.

4.Modify the text as required.

5.Use the available options to change the text font face, style, and weight.

Note: to change the text size, just resize the text box.

6.Click the colored square to change the text color by entering the HSL or RGB values. You can also use the color picker to select a color in the preview window.

7.Click X to close the window and set the changes.

Note: to change a motion graphics title's position in the video frame, click on it and then drag it to another location.

Editing Text Backdrop

The text backdrop is the colored box that is included in your title text. To edit the text backdrop settings, do this:

1.Select the scene in the ad template that contains the text backdrop you want to edit.

2.Click the button to open the Backdrop Settings window.

3.Edit the backdrop settings as follows:

Enable backdrop: select this to enable the colored backdrop on your text. Deselect it if you don't want a text backdrop.

Backdrop type: select the preferred type of backdrop, a Solid background bar that extends the backdrop across the video image, or Fit with title to make it the same length as the title text. For the Fit with title option you have the choice of four different styles of backdrop you can select from the drop-down menu.

Fill type: set the color and texture of backdrop using the following options in the Fill type drop-down:

oUniform color: select this option if you want the backdrop to be one solid color. Click the colored square to open the color palette and select the desired backdrop color.

o2 Color gradient: select this option if you want the backdrop color to change from one color to another using a gradient. Click the colored squares to set the beginning and ending colors, and then drag the Gradient direction control to set which way the color flows.

oImage: select this option to use an image from your computer as the backdrop. Once imported, drag the display area box to the part of the photo you want shown as the backdrop. You can also resize the display area box, or deselect the Keep aspect ratio option if you want to change its shape. Use the two flip options if you want to change the orientation of the image.

Width: use the slider to customize the width of the backdrop.

Height: use the slider to customize the height of the backdrop.

Note: deselect the Maintain aspect ratio option if you only want to change the backdrop's width or height.

Opacity: use the slider to set the opacity of the backdrop.

Offset X: use the slider if you want to move the backdrop behind the title text along the X axis, i.e. left or right.

Offset Y: use the slider if you want to move the backdrop behind the title text along the Y axis, i.e. up or down.

4.Click to close the Backdrop Settings window.
