Click on 
to access the library menu. In the library menu you can sort the content in a room by name, date created, file size, and more. You can also select all the content in the room or change the media/effect thumbnail (icon) size.
Note: if you cannot find the library menu button when in the media library, you may need to resize the preview window to reveal it. See Expanding the Workspace for more information. |
Other options are sometimes available in the library menu, but are dependent on the specific room you are in. For example, when in the media room, you can Empty the Library or Remove All Unused Content from Library. You can so export/import the PowerDirector media room library.
Export PowerDirector Library
You can export the media files in the PowerDirector media room library, saving them as a file that can be imported at a later date into another project.
Note: the exported PowerDirector .PDL library file does not contain the physical media files, but is rather a log of the files that are currently in the media library and where they are stored on your computer. The original media files must not be deleted or moved to complete a successful import. |
To export the PowerDirector media library, do this:
1.Click 
to enter the media library.
2.Click on and then select Export Library.
3.Enter a Filename for the .PDL file.
4.Browse to the location on your computer where you want to save the library.
5.Click Save.
Import PowerDirector Library
You can import a previously exported PowerDirector media library.
Note: the import will only be 100% successful if the original media files were not deleted or moved after the export process. |
To import the PowerDirector media library, do this:
1.Click to enter the media library.
2.Click on and then select Import Library.
3.Browse to the location on your computer where the .PDL file is located.
4.Select the .PDL and then click Open.
